I'm Sarah from fairy tales are true.
When Melissa asked me to tell y'all how life has changed for me since moving to Europe, I got super giddy. I love life in general but over here - it's love and then some.
For me, it is far less stressful. It's a SIMPLE life.
I like simple, don't you?
But then again - I went from working and grad school to coming over here.
And currently, my job is to plan our holidays, cook, go to market, take photos, and read.
Not much stress in that. (:

Firstly, we moved to Switzerland.
NOT Sweden.
People get this very confused.
bless their hearts.
Switzerland is located above Italy, and borders Germany, France, and Austria.
Sweden is just as lovely but is a Scandinavian country.
Specifically, I live in Basel, Switzerland.
two hops a skip and a jump to France and Germany.
5 minutes by bike to France.
10 minutes by car to Germany.
We're about 4 hours to Italy.
So the set up is pretty sweet here.

Now that we've got our geography down...
I thought I'd share my top ten favorite things about being over here.
{in no particular order}
10. Dining Al Fresco. Every chance we get.
9. biking (almost) everywhere
7. Lavender in June
6. peonies in may
5. swiss cows
4. cheese plates!
3. castles in every village
2. The prettiest parks I've ever seen!
1. indulging in gelato
On top of all of that, we've got an airport that flies easyjet (read: cheap airfare)
So in the past year and a half, we've visited 16 countries together. and counting (:
